How to Measure Grounding With Megger Under a Building

How to measure the actual values of protection grounding and neutral grounding resistance since there is no soil inside the building to drive grounding: First of all, two probes that need to be connected to the grounding stakes of the megger are connected to the grounding bar on the panel.

1-Measurement is made by connecting the megger measurement tip to the neutral end of panel 1. The result is written to measurement number 1.

2-Measurement is made by connecting the megger measurement tip to the neutral end of panel 2. The result is written to measurement number 2.

3- Megger's  two probes, which need to be connected to the grounding stakes, are connected to the neutral end of panel 1, and the measurement end is connected to the neutral end of panel 2. The measurement value is written to result 3.

By pressing the calculate button. There will be common protection grounding ohmic value and neutral ohmic values of transformer 1 and transformer 2

Measurement Number 1

  Ω(ohm)

Measurement Number 2

  Ω(ohm)

Measurement Number 3

  Ω(ohm)

Common Protection Grounding Ohmic Value  5 Ω(ohm)
Transformer 1 Neutral Grounding Ohmic Value  8 Ω(ohm)
Transformer 2 Neutral Grounding Ohmic Value  10 Ω(ohm)
